Patient Wang, male, 34 years old, from Guangzhou, Guangdong. In 2023, he suffered a complete T2 spinal cord injury in a car accident, resulting in paraplegia and loss of bladder and bowel control. Treatment Plan
- Custom Knee-Ankle-Foot Orthosis (KAFO): Bilateral locked knee joint, fixed-axis ankle joint
- Pelvic Binder: Provides trunk stability
- Standing Training: Perform standing balance training within the parallel bars
- Gait Training: Four-point gait training with a walker
- Strength TrainingStrengthen upper body and core muscles
Treatment Progress
- Months 1-2: Tolerates brace wear; stands in parallel bars for 5 minutes
- Months 3-6Standing time extended to 30 minutes; steps can be taken with walker assistance.
- Months 7-12: Can walk 50 meters with a walker
- Months 13-18: Walks up to 100 meters, climbs 1 flights of stairs

- Walking ability: Unable to walk → Walking with a walker for 100 meters
